Johan Nordström has been working in the financial industry since the early 2000. He began his career at a CTA hedge fund prior to joining GADD Stockholm in 2006.
During the 5 years following he worked as an analyst and portfolio manager for the Swedish based clients of GADD.
Preceding returning to GADD within the office of Luxembourg, he worked as a portfolio manager in Sweden and Luxembourg.
Johan Nordström has a business and economics sciences degree from Lunds University, he is a CFA charter holder and Financial Risk Manager – certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
Concentrating on developing business with clients in the Benelux, Joseph Bart joined GADD Luxembourg in May 2016 and stepped up as Chief Risk Manager in 2020.
Bart started his career in 1995 at Bank Nagelmackers Luxembourg in the Private Banking Department. After this International experience, he went back to Belgium as advisor in the Belgian Federal Parliament. He now joined Gadd Luxembourg to apply his experience in the advisory and discretionary asset management. Native Dutch speaking, he is also fluent in French and English.
Bart obtained a Master degree in Applied Economic Sciences at the University of Antwerp and holds a post graduate in ‘Estate and Wealth Planning’ from Brugge Business School.
Birgitta Thonning was appointed as Director/Senior Portfolio Manager and responsible for the establishment of the GADD Luxembourg branch back in 2004.
Today Birgitta focuses on the development of the company’s services and portfolio management. She works with international clients. From 1986, Birgitta Thonning worked as a legal and financial adviser for a number of Scandinavian banks and asset management firms: Svenska Handelsbanken, SEB Enskilda Banken, Hagströmer & Qviberg Kapitalförvaltning and Danske Bank. These roles allowed her to gain extensive experience in wealth management and in family offices. She also played an active part in the organisation of investment committees and in the design of asset management strategies.
Birgitta Thonning has a law degree from the University of Stockholm.
